OUR APPROACH
Lagniappe is a New Orleans term meaning "a little something extra" — a small gift given with appreciation. It's the perfect name for what we aim to deliver: warm and thoughtful hospitality, exceptional ingredients, and cooking that goes beyond expectations. We source nearly 100% of our ingredients from Sonoma County farms, ranches, and fishers. Our cooking style is minimalist and wood-fired, allowing the quality of local artisans to shine.
THE SPACE
Our intimate dining room occupies the historic space at 330 Healdsburg Avenue. Healdsburg is just 70 miles north of San Francisco — the restaurant is an easy one minute walk from the Healdsburg Plaza. The restaurant features a stunning wood-fired oven and a heated outdoor patio perfect for wine country evenings. Whether you're joining us for date night, a special celebration, or Happy Hour drinks, we create a welcoming environment that feels both special and comfortable.

THE TEAM
JACOB HARTH | CHEF
Chef Jacob Harth grew up on a Southern Oregon farm in a restaurant family, where his father hunted, fished, and foraged, and his grandmother owned a restaurant. Early memories of oysters sizzling on the barbecue sparked his passion for seafood and sustainable sourcing.
After training in Portland, Jacob opened Erizo in 2019, earning recognition as one of Eater's Best New Restaurants in America. At Bistro Lagniappe, he brings fine dining precision and rustic French technique to Sonoma County's seasonal ingredients, honoring his roots through ingredient-driven cooking meant to bring people together.
ERIC MERCER | GENERAL MANAGER
Eric Mercer's hospitality career began washing dishes at a Healdsburg restaurant as a youth. Raised in a Sonoma County agricultural family, he understands the deep connection between food, wine, and community.
Mercer has led teams at Wine Country's most respected restaurants, including Michelin-starred Madrona Manor. His experience spans fine dining and winery hospitality throughout the region.
As General Manager of Bistro Lagniappe, Mercer creates what he calls the "Cheers effect"—a place where guests feel genuinely known and cared for, supported by a dedicated team.
